Day 13... June 8th

 Bhaktapur, Nepal
It has been a very busy day.  We started by siteseeing with Bobby by car to the mountain of Nargakot .  On a clear day, you can see Everest.  Not a clear day today, but the curvy and a bit scary drive up was worth it. Kinda like a thrill ride at Disney.   It is the best scenery we have seen yet in my opinion.  Lush greenery and perfectly tiered mountainside that is perfect for people to plant crops of corn, rice, and beans.  The housing was scattered, mostly made of imperfect brick work.  There was scattering of very rustic cafe stops, water buffalo (that looked like horses at first glance), goats, people working the crops and just standing around.  Great picture op's.  We then drove down the mountain to the city of Bhaktapur (I assure you I do not pronounce that anywhere close to the way it should be!)  Bhaktapur is a beautiful, historic town dating back to 7th century A.D.  It is the town has a royal palace and many temples.  People still live and work there.  It is a page out of time.  Finley was amazing, but wanted to be carried most of the time.  While she is enjoying Bobby and Erin, she does not allow them to hold her for any period of time.

Bobby received an unexpected phone call while we were out and asked if I wanted to see if I could get the Embassy appointment rescheduled so we could go get the Travel Document.  I said "Let's Go!".  Through some phone calls, we were able to get the appointment at the embassy moved to tomorrow at 11.  We then walked with Finley in arms to the Foreign Affairs and waited a couple of hours.  The ending result is that I have a travel document for Finley.  Just have to make 2 embassy visits and then  we can come home.  Checking on flights, but it may be Monday before we can leave.  Still, very thankful.  Maybe a small miracle in store after all.  Thanks for specifically praying for our travel.

Things I have learned about Finley today...
- She can poop in the floor, but it was in front of the toilet.
- She is beginning to immitate a few words, "shoo wee", "thank you", "bye"
- She is in love with cookies, really.
- She is beginning to bond more with Erin, which is very appropriate that she still relies on me for most of her needs.  I am glad for her new bonding though.
- She really likes to be carried.
- She is fearless, adventurous.  Running to the edge of the mountain, etc.
- It is so sweet to see her run at me with arms wide open, saying "mommy".
- Her only pair of shoes is rubbing a blister on her heal, but she wears them anyway.

She is a very tired girl right now and can marathon cry.  Even at her most exhausted, she keeps pointing at the cookies.

Tomorrow is our first embassy visit. Pray for favor and a quick turn-a-round!
